The OFIC Tax Clinic successfully operated from the first week of March to the end of April, providing invaluable volunteer services every Sunday. Thanks to the dedication and diverse skills of our volunteers, the clinic efficiently processed hundreds of tax files for individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, including low-income, moderate-income, small businesses, and self-employed taxi drivers. Our volunteers worked tirelessly to assist students, families, and senior citizens from diverse global backgrounds, ensuring they received the support needed during the 2025 tax season. The clinic's success was a collective effort, notably enriched by the expertise of key volunteers such as Swarnjeet Singh (CPA), Amar Kumar Gopa (CRA IT Dept.), and Soma (Student and Youth Face), among others. They played crucial roles in bridging the gap between clients and the CRA, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Special thanks are due to the OFIC president, Shiv Bhasker, who’s weekly in-person visits provided unwavering support and addressed any challenges faced by the team. Additionally, Atul Garg Ji and Reetesh Ji generously facilitated the clinic's operations by providing essential facilities and support.
Our heartfelt gratitude extends to the entire OFIC board and executive members for their guidance, mentorship, publication efforts, and IT support, which were instrumental in the program's success. This collaborative spirit and commitment have made the OFIC Tax Clinic an invaluable resource for the community.
A special thanks to Sunil Sharma for organizing and leading this OFIC Free Tax Clinic.
